About

It’s All Frosting is intended to be a place for posting about the projects that occupy my time– sometimes they’re recipes that need perfecting, sometimes they’re ideas for costumes, or crafts, or themed parties– basically, the things that make life interesting!

You can expect irregular posts, since sometimes the things that make life boring get in the way of more fun stuff, but I’ll keep trying!

  3. Hi! I have a friend who is a HUGE fan of your Ursula dress… so much so she’s having me help make one just like it! Your blog has been SO helpful so far, but I have a question for you, if you can answer it- what kinda of material did you use for the black part of the tentacles, and would recommend it? Thanks!

    • I used a regular black bridal satin– the heavy stuff that’s matte-ish, not shiny. I would recommend it over the shiny stuff because it’s not as slippery, so it’s easier to work with. Also, for me it matched the original bridesmaid dress I attached the tentacles to.

  4. Can I rent the Ursula costume from you? No joke. I’m taking my 6 & 8 year old girls to Mickey’s Halloween party at Disneyland this Oct (2018) and we are all going as Descendents. My oldest will be going as Uma, Ursula’s daughter. Therefore, I need to be a GREAT Ursula, and that costume is the TRUTH!!! Thanks in advance, Erin

    • Sorry, Erin– I actually gave away the tentacle portion a while ago! I still have the wedding dress section but I get the feeling that’s not what you’d really want. Good luck finding something for Disney!

    • Sorry, Amanda– I have a personal rule never to lend/rent out anything I can’t afford to have damaged, and since I really don’t want to go to the trouble of making the hairpiece again I’m going to have to say no. I’m happy to help with tips for making your own, though!

  6. Please REMOVE my white bread recipe from your website! You have used copyrighted material and DO NOT have permission to post!

    • Jessica– I’m sorry you feel that way. However, while my recipe was originally based on yours it is not the same (different amounts of flour and eggs), and my instructions are completely my own. In any event, lists of ingredients and general steps to follow are not copyrightable, so my recipe is in no way a copyright violation. https://www.copyright.gov/help/faq/faq-protect.html#recipe

That being said, if you would prefer that I removed the reference to your page to ensure that no one mistakes this bread recipe for yours, I am happy to do so.

  8. Hi! Great Blog! I love all the recipes and the crafts as well, can’t wait to try them. I have a question, what is the cake on the banner on your page? It looks like vanilla layer cake with pink and white frosting. I’d love the recipe for that if it’s available. My email is walkrhn@yahoo.com if you do have it. Thank You !

  9. Hi! I’m part of a large group of adults dressing up as the Little Mermaid cast for Halloween. Do you have any of your Ursula/Vanessa outfit still?
